Awaken the North

Hail! I am Bill aka the mighty Søl. I come from the lands surrounding Detroit, Michigan, and its metropolitan suburbs. Husband and father of 3. Doggy Dad of 2. Musician, poet, gamer, and allaround lover of horror and nerd culture. I have studied general paganism and Buddhism for over 30 years and have been a Heathen for more than 11. I’m the Chancellor of the Religious Studies here at AtN. I hope to help build a foundation of unending knowledge of the Norse path for myself, our council, and our members. Without you, our work means little. At the moment our focus is on the certificate courses and Godar Training Program.

Goði Beast is a father of 4, WAY to involved in Scouting, a devoted husband, and the leader of Awaken the North. Goði Beast has been the leader of Awaken the North since it's renovation in May of 2020, and works industriously on all aspect of the organization. Along with being a valuable instructor and course designer here at the University, he is the author of our very own “AtN’s Havamal in Everyday English”, and is currently working on both a study Havamal, as well as the next book in the series, “The Voluspa In Everyday English”, as well as a handful of other publications.
